About

The Ballina Contemporary Art Market (BCAM) is a weekend event celebrating and showcasing artists and makers from across the Northern Rivers region. Hosted in the heritage listed arts precinct of the Northern Rivers Community Gallery and Ignite Studios, this event aims to deliver a fun, community engaged event and offer subsidised spaces for creatives to sell their artworks, wares and products.

Time: 10am–5pm, Artist stalls and markets. 5–7pm, Laneway party w/ live music

Location: Northern Rivers Community Gallery & Ignite Studios Precinct 44 Cherry & 60 Crane Streets, Ballina

BCAM will feature a range of artist stalls, showcasing a range of artworks and wares in the Gallery, Ignite Studios and in the garden. A full-day program of creative workshops, live music, food stalls, roving performances and site-specific installations will make this day a family friendly, fun, and not to be missed event.

Activities Include: Free Creative Workshops, Roving Performances by Erth Visual & Physical Inc, Site Specific Art Installations, Food and Drinks. We are seeking applications from individual artists, designers, makers, groups, galleries and/or arts and craft stallholders with a preference for original, handmade, local, independent, innovative, and creative artworks and products.

There are three stall categories to apply for:

Premium — $100
in the Gallery, includes tables/hanging space;
Community — $75
in Ignite Studios, includes table/hanging space;
Market Stall —$50
outside, must provide own marquee/table.

All stallholders must have PLI insurance. If this is a barrier to participation, please contact the BCAM team to discuss options.

Applications: Applications extended until 5pm Friday 1 September 2023.
